Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings (PBKS) is a franchise cricket team that competes in the Indian Premier League. The team represents the region of Mohali and plays most of its home matches at the IS Bindra Stadium and the newer Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.

The franchise was founded in 2008 as Kings XI Punjab and was later rebranded as Punjab Kings in 2021 to create a fresh team identity. The team is jointly owned by Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman, and Karan Paul.

Punjab Kings has been one of the most entertaining yet inconsistent teams in IPL history. The franchise reached the IPL final in 2014 under the captaincy of George Bailey, but unfortunately lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. That season featured outstanding performances from players like Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, and Virender Sehwag.

PBKS is widely known for its aggressive batting style and explosive top-order hitters. Over the years, the team has included several powerful international stars and young Indian talents. The franchise continues to focus on building a balanced squad by combining experienced players with emerging cricketers.

Despite never winning an IPL championship, Punjab Kings remains a fan-favorite team due to its attacking gameplay and exciting match performances. The franchise is determined to win its first IPL trophy and establish itself as a consistent title contender in future IPL seasons. 🏏❤️
