Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is a professional cricket franchise that competes in the Indian Premier League. The team represents the city of Hyderabad and plays its home matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, which is known for supporting competitive T20 cricket conditions.

The franchise was founded in 2012 after the termination of the earlier Hyderabad team, Deccan Chargers. SRH is owned by Sun TV Network, one of the largest entertainment networks in India.

Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved their greatest success in 2016, when they won their first and only IPL championship under the captaincy of David Warner. In the final, SRH defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru to lift the trophy. Warner’s explosive batting and strong leadership were key factors in that historic season.

The franchise is widely recognized for its world-class bowling attack. Players like Pat Cummins have played crucial roles. SRH has traditionally focused on disciplined bowling strategies combined with controlled batting performances.

Other important players who have represented the team include Kane Williamson, who led the team to the 2018 IPL final, and several promising young Indian cricketers developed through the franchise system.
